说明：表示矿物硬度的一种标准。1824年由德国矿物学家莫斯(Frederich Mohs)首先提出。应用划痕法将棱锥形金刚钻针刻划所试矿物的表面而发生划痕,习惯上矿物学或宝石学上都是用莫氏硬度。用测得的划痕的深度分十级来表示硬度：滑石(talc)1（硬度最小），石膏(gypsum)2，方解石(calcite)3，萤石(fluorite)4，磷灰石(apatite)5，正长石(feldspar;orthoclase;periclase)6，石英(quartz)7，黄玉(topaz)8，刚玉(corundum)9，金刚石(diamond)10。硬度值并非绝对硬度值，而是按硬度的顺序表示的值。
Description: a standard for indicating mineral hardness. It was first put forward by Moss, a German mineralogical expert (Frederich Mohs) in 1824. Scratching is used to scratch the surface of the tested mineral with a pyramid diamond needle, which is customarily mineralogical or gemological. The depth of the measured scratches is divided into ten levels: talc 1 (minimum hardness), gypsum (gypsum) 2, calcite (calcite) 3, fluorite (fluorite) 4, apatite (apatite) 5, ortho feldspar (feldspar; orthoclase; periclase) 6, quartz (quartz) 7, topaz (Topaz) 8, corundum (corundum) 9, diamond (diamond) 10. The hardness value is not the absolute hardness value, but the value expressed in the order of hardness.
